The executive staff from Vancouver took swipes at Bruins’ Brad Marchand the past couple of days, adding that his hit on Sami Salo was a “dirty hit from a dirty player.” Given the players and fans were usually surveyed, professionalism and composure have never been the Canucks’ strongest assets. Now, however, all fans of hockey can say Vancouver has a magisterial leader. Mike Gillis has proven himself. He certainly is ameliorating his royal and exceptional team of already-inventive and impeccable players to be the all-deserving, superlative, and immaculate group the NHL knows the Canucks to be.
